It has been a busy few weeks (months?) around these parts and I’m pretty mentally and physically exhausted. It’s a new kind of exhaustion I haven’t experienced before and in some ways, I enjoy it. And at the same time, I hate it and want my energy reserves to return. Packing, staging, cleaning and readying a house for sale took more time and effort than I’d anticipated thanks to some perfectionist tendencies.

So many areas of my life have taken a back seat. Has that happened to you? How did you get back on track?

How do you find balance?

For me, I’ve decided to get back on a daily multivitamin, add in a half hour of pure exercise (as opposed to counting all the walking, bending, lifting, etc that comes with house sale prep), increase my water consumption and cut out all sugary drinks for at least a week or two, skip the convenience food that have become a staple during our harried life, and take some time to read for pleasure.

I’m hoping that all of that will rebalance things and make me feel fresh and rejuvenated again.
